Micah and I met about 4 years ago during our first year at Michigan Tech. At that time I had chosen to major in biomedical engineering (poor life choice) and Micah was in my first year engineering class. We got to know each other very well over various class projects, long nights, and homework study sessions. In December, 2009 we began to date and really started growing in our relationship.
The proposal:
On December 3rd, 2012 Micah took me out to dinner at The Ambassador. (one of our favorite Houghton restaurants) As far as I knew it was just a normal dinner date, except the fact that Micah was acting slightly strange.... He even turned on the air conditioner in the car despite the fact it was December! When we got there, he kept pointing to my promise ring that he had given me and kept asking where my 'real' one was. This was something that he did all of the time so I really didn't it was anything beyond teasing. I had no clue what was coming next when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!
Future plans together:
We will be getting married on May 5th, 2013 in Micah's home church in Wisconsin. We then will be heading back to Houghton for the summer and our last year of college. We are so excited for what the future has to bring!
